Focus Awakens Your Spirit
When you focus on any activity, it should not be only for the sake of avoiding trouble; focusing on all that you do intensifies and empowers your life experience. As mundane as the particular activity may seem to you, when you focus on it---when you genuinely experience being in that moment---you automatically raise the frequency of that experience. Why? Because you infuse it with your spirit. It is your spirit that experiences every bit of your life. It is not your mind or your body that lives your life; they are only responsible for processing what you experience into mundane---earthly---contexts. For example, if you smell a rose, your brain is responsible for processing the sensory function through your nose. But it is your spirit that delights in the fragrance and the visual beauty of the flower. Your spirit is what gives your life…Life! When you fuse your spirit with all of your activities and experiences, you naturally express care and appreciation for all the aspects that make up your beautiful life.
Appreciation begets appreciation. By showing genuine gratitude for all that is yours, an amazing thing happens: Life mirrors its appreciation back to you, providing you with even greater experience, where dreams are no longer dreams; they become your reality. You will have raised your frequency exponentially.
Make the effort to be present---focused---whether you are mopping the floor, doing your homework, washing your car, stitching a hem, eating a meal or listening to someone talking to you. Infuse your spirit into all your tasks and other activities. Don’t just go through the motions. Be there. Find something about the activity that is gratifying, no matter how mundane or dull it may seem to you. Oftentimes, the simplest activities can bring the greatest pleasure. Bring your life into your life. Don’t let a single moment go by the wayside. When you are not in your life, higher frequencies cannot find you.
While you are focusing on your activities throughout any given day, don’t begrudge any of them. Play music while mopping the floor; sing or hum while raking the leaves. Everything that we do is for a purpose. Everything that we experience is ultimately to take us to an improved situation---even if it seems preposterous at the time. Life works in mysterious ways; therefore, give it all that you’ve got. Invest every word that you utter, every thought that you think, every act that you do and every gesture that you make, with goodness from your spirit. By fortifying every focused moment of your life with spirit, you propel yourself at quantum speed, fueled with soul power, toward higher frequencies of Life’s bounty and splendor. As Julia Cameron notes in The Artist’s Way, “I have many times marveled at the sleight of hand with which the Universe delivers its treats.”
Lack of Focus Lessens Your Power. When you do happen to experience a mishap or some sort of downturn---whether it be a lost wallet, a fall, an argument or anything that throws you off your course---mentally backtrack to what you did, or neglected to do, to precipitate the occurrence. Normally, it may not have seemed as though it was anyone’s fault, per se; it was just a random event. But, as you develop the habit of focusing on yourself, your keener awareness will help you spot what it was in you that actually led to the event. Nothing occurs randomly in this Life; there is a reason or a purpose for everything that happens.

Remember that your actions, words and thoughts are always at a frequency level that perfectly matches the frequency of potential consequences for those same actions, words and thoughts. The consequences can be either in your favor or not, depending on the nature of what you were initially doing, saying or thinking.
For example, while out driving in your car, you decide to stop and get a cup of coffee. On your way in to the mini-mart, the person in front of you lets the door close on you, and you stub your toe. You get annoyed. Even to the point where you are pouring your coffee and adding the milk and sugar, you continue to build up resentment toward the person whom you blame for your stubbed toe. You just can’t seem to let it go. You get back in your car, and lo and behold, the coffee spills all over you and your car. The obvious, most Cosmically logical reason is that your negative thinking precipitated the spilled coffee. Had you not allowed the stubbed toe incident to bother you to the point where you were not focused on what you were doing (i.e. being mindful of your coffee), you could have enjoyed your coffee experience.
The more you pay attention to the events of your life, you will increasingly see a thread---one that invariably ties you to what happens to you. Stay focused, and remain positive and forgiving.
The higher you raise your frequency, the more vigilant you will need to be with yourself. The payoff is wonderful, but with everything, it comes with a price: The price of living at a higher frequency obliges you to remain on the straight and narrow, while it entitles you to a blessed Life experience.
