What Exactly is Integrity?
Integrity, according to Webster’s College Dictionary, is “the quality or state of being complete or undivided”. “Completeness” means perfection, pureness. Nothing that is complete needs anything else, other than itself. When all of our integral parts unite as one, then we are complete, integrated. The reason that so many people suffer is because some of their integral parts (i.e., their mind, body and emotions) are not in line or in harmony with their other integral parts; thus, they feel incomplete—lost, divided.
A person who has integrity is one who acts from pureness of purpose. The extent to which any of us lives our life with pureness of purpose is an indication of how much integrity we live by. Your thoughts and your deeds are a direct reflection of your intentions, in any situation or toward any individual. Your integrity is based on how genuine and good—how pure—your intentions are. The purer your integrity, the higher your frequency.
When all the areas or parts of your being are well-integrated (connected, wired, joined), you are then complete within yourself. Your integrity is then sound.
Having a perfectly wired system is not very common among human beings. Something is usually off—distorted, uncared for, unaware or blocked. This is why there is so much corruption and suffering in our world. People’s intentions are all too often not pure. Parts of their lives are hampered as a result of not having followed the ordained path of Life’s laws.
We err because lower levels of frequency blur our judgment. Ego makes its entrance at that level, often leading us astray and marring our integrity. The friendly counterpart to integrity is Conscience. Our conscience is friendly because it lets us know when our intentions are teetering in dangerous, self-undermining and frequency-lowering territory. When we don’t listen to our conscience, trouble ensues, and our integrity is compromised.

Components of Integrity
Integrity covers a wide spectrum of Cosmic morality. Morality of the spirit is the only true integrity there is. This means being true to your spirit: Do what comes from your heart and soul---not necessarily what societal mores and cultural traditions dictate. Integrity enters into all areas of our lives, including how we treat our bodies, how much effort we put into our work, how we treat people, animals, the planet, and how well we respect and treat our personal belongings, and those of others. Whether others know about our actions or not is not the issue. Your Higher Self always knows, and thus, your life will always reflect the level of your integrity. Are you directing your energies with integrity at all times?
If you are tempted to do something that you know would displease others, but nobody is looking, think twice. In fact, think as many times as are necessary for you not to resist, but rather, to rise above the temptation. Actually, someone is looking: It’s you. Your Higher Self always knows what you’re up to. The balance of cause and effect is always at full operating capacity. If, for example, you do something as seemingly innocuous as drinking out of a carton of milk that other people use, and you know that they would not appreciate it, you are breaking Cosmic Law because you are infringing on their rights.
The Golden Rule is golden: Do unto others always as you would have them do unto you. If you don’t want it to happen to you, don’t do it to them. That’s integrity. Even if you don’t care if it is done to you, maintain your integrity by respecting others. When you do so, you honor the Life Force in them, and you also honor your own integrity and the Life Force in you.
Maintaining one’s integrity is a law unto itself. Living a life of integrity is its own reward. It serves as a barometer for the level of frequency at which each of us resonates. The level of our integrity is equal to how much Life Force is available to us during our journey through our Earth Life. The Life Force is Pure integrity. It is Perfection. Living in accordance with The Force---with complete and unwavering integrity---guarantees a greater, more expansive and enjoyable life. Your integrity is what will protect you.
When you live right, you are free. You may not agree with this if you feel bound by bills to pay, stymied by people with whom you have to work or live, or if you feel stuck in any other number of ways. But if you live with integrity as your torch, you are a free entity. No matter what encumbrances you may be struggling with at the moment, your mind and heart and spirit are free. This gives you a wider range of helpful alternatives to your difficult predicaments than would be the case if your integrity were not at its highest level. Thus, whatever you attempt to do to unencumber yourself will most likely succeed because all of your psyche’s systems are functioning at maximum efficiency. Consequently, this enables you to create a happier, more comfortable life for yourself. All you really need is a bit of chutzpah to get you started.
The frequency of integrity is extremely high. Accessing those elevated levels is feasible by taking the necessary steps toward incorporating the principles of integrity into your nature. Focus on how you live your life on a day-to-day basis. Pay attention to your thoughts and intentions, and make the effort to rise above low frequency desires and motivations.
A major component of integrity is basically that of being above-board—of not cheating. Cheating is the failure to be completely honest, especially with yourself. When you are honest with yourself, there is nothing to hide, nothing to cheat about, nothing to be ashamed of. Attempting to get the better advantage at someone else’s expense is cheating. Some people think that the world or Life owes them something; so they justify their lack of integrity by having been cheated by someone else. Trying to reestablish a balance—a slanted, personal sense of justice—by doing underhanded, sabotaging acts does not reestablish balance. In fact, living a dishonest life—or even a dishonest day—will set one back on the frequency scale to his or her potentially serious detriment. “Once a principle is breached, its mutated form propagates like cancer.” David R. Hawkins, from Power vs. Force.
Living without integrity—no matter how cheated you may feel, no matter how unfair you believe a situation to be, no matter how much you feel that you’re in the right—you will never even the score if you take action in misrepresentative or nefarious ways. Whatever needs to be balanced out, whatever we truly deserve, the Ultimate and Only Judge is That Which runs the whole show: The Life Force, God, All That Is. When you seek to align yourself with It, your life will automatically be balanced and fair, and all that is truly yours shall come to you. The only way to get ahead and stay there is to live with integrity and keep raising your frequency.
