Choosing to “flow” is a
remarkably effective way to dispel anything that creates a snag or an
obstruction in our otherwise smoothly-drifting emotional and mental waters. I
find it wonderfully delightful to see the snags and knots that I create, all on
my very own, gently becoming untangled, loose and relaxed, in the midst of my
recouped flow.
It’s so easy, really, if we
can just let go. Allowing ego in is what sets us back, much of the
time. Ego is almost always the reason for our self-undoing. The good news is:
When we raise our consciousness, via a smooth-running frequency, we can see when ego is around, undermining our
smooth path. When you sense yourself getting annoyed, impatient, rude,
insecure, angry, and any other way that makes you “go weak”, take a deep
breath, imagine a beautiful flowing river or infinite fields of soft, flowing
wheat….and go with it. Go with the flow. If
we could all do that, on a regular
basis, Life would be so much better, so much easier and so much sweeter.
Why do we allow ourselves to
get caught up in unnecessary agitation?
Because when ego knocks at
our door, we’re all-too-tempted to open it.
We tend to be tempted the
most when our frequency resides at low levels.
The higher you raise your
frequency, the better you will be able to stand up to ego---or better yet, to
completely ignore it. Ego eventually leaves us alone; anger, resentment,
hatred, abuse, etc.literally all go by the wayside. Our spirit will have won
out. Nothing---not even ego---can dislodge the power of spirit, once it is
thriving and strong within us.
It is our spirit that desires
peace, freedom and happiness more than any other part of us. The most natural thing for spirit to do is flow. Commune with your spirit, flow
with it. Nourish it. Use your creative juices: draw, write, garden, sing, cook.
All things creative feed the spirit. When your spirit comes alive, your heart
sings and your mind entertains more positive thoughts.
Flow with everything that
comes your way. When a branch falls into a flowing stream, the water either
takes it along with it….or it flows over or around it. We can choose to either
focus on the obstruction, or on flowing through, over or around it.
Just flow.
