Looking back over the last 24
hours, have you felt the intrusion of ego within yourself? Have you felt
even the slightest tinge of that
surreptitious, inscrutable energy, meandering its way through your psyche, doing
anything it can, to bring you down---right along with your previously high
frequency?
It’s not just pride and
arrogance that bespeak ego. It can
also be fear, trepidation and even shyness. Ego gets you when you are
vulnerable, away from your true self; when you’re shy, for example, we can’t
see who you really are.
As you probably already know,
staying focused is the most important tenet to keeping you in high
frequency zones. If you’re not focused in any
context, you lose some of your awareness, thus giving ego a way in to your
precious domain---inside you. So,
when you’re focused, alert and being who
you really are, you don’t slow
your life down by allowing ego to cause you any number of setbacks.
Picking a fight is ego’s
doing; getting totally caught up with how you look, what you’re wearing,
worrying about what other people are thinking or saying about you, are devilish
ego energies, wrapping themselves around your fragile being. Yet, you are only
fragile if you let down your guard by feeding into those thoughts, words and
types of behavior that are not the real
you.
Feeling sorry for yourself is full-blown ego. You’re in your own way when “the highest you” is losing its power. You can’t be strong while feeling sorry for yourself, telling somebody off or competing with someone else. Being empowered is competing with yourself: trumping who and where you are now, continually improving yourself, as your frequency rises to meet you at loftier, life-energy domains. You can lose a lot of who you are when you are not focusing on being your best and highest Self.

Send ego where it
belongs---in the trash. Ego is the
trash inside us---but only when we allow it into our sacred temple of the soul.
Don’t let ego ruin your day. Peel off all of the superfluous “yous” that aren’t
“you” at all. The purer you become, the greater your life becomes. Thank
yourself and your frequency for
taking you there.
Get that darn ego out of your
way. It taints you more than helps you. Pay close attention to when it’s sneaking into your personal
vicinity. Get rid of it, get over it, and
as the saying goes, get real.
