Some movies only entertain
us, without providing any real value to our life experience---without sending a
message for the viewer to learn and benefit from. I can recommend three movies
to you, right now, that will raise your frequency in possibly more ways than just
one.
The first is Pleasantville. Though it came out a number of years ago, it is still a classic, as far as its profound, yet simple, message about bringing Life into your life. The theme is between “color” and “black and white”. The storyline is simple to follow and quite entertaining; but the underlying message is what moves the spirit: Do you want to live a “black-and-white life” or a “colorful life”? Many of the characters choose the former, holding back those aspects of their essence, including affection, openness of heart and mind, and a generous spirit. Those who begin to really learn about the magic of Life lose their black-and-white-tinged skin, clothes and environment, and begin living, literally, a colorful life, one filled with love and affection, flexibility and openness of mind and heart, along with great generosity of spirit. This is an extremely entertaining movie, in and of itself, and I highly recommend it, as a superb frequency-raising treat!

Then there is Groundhog Day---the superlative example of frequency raising. Bill Murray’s
characterization of a begrudged, miserable guy ends up showing us the way to the Tao. He finally gets it;
he finally figures out the secret key to what opens up his life to the magic,
splendor and delight of living as a human being on this magnificent planet of
ours. Initially, he keeps messing up his life by living in complete opposition
to those well-known Universal Principles. He lives day after day after day in
utter misery….until he starts to learn the lessons of life---such basic
lessons, yet lessons that are oh-so-profound, as well. In the end, he is our
hero: He raised his frequency to great heights and never turned back. Besides
the “lesson”, this is also an extremely enjoyable movie, in its own right.
Shawshank Redemption is, to me, one of the greatest movies ever made---yes, of course
because of its powerful story, directing and acting. But here again, is a
message. In a way, it reflects the essence of a “raised frequency” through the
eloquent acting of Tim Robbins, as a guiltless prisoner in a high security
prison, who never allows his frequency to drop. I find this movie to be the
counterpart to Groundhog Day: In
Groundhog Day, the character of Bill Murray is “free” on the outside, in that
he’s not imprisoned in a physical sense; but he is quite imprisoned within
himself. Conversely, Tim Robbins’s character is imprisoned physically, but he
does circles around the bulk of humanity when it comes to his complete and
solid inner freedom.
When we are truly free, within ourselves, that’s
when we know that we’ve got a well-oiled, well-maintained, high-powered and
high-resonating frequency.
You can do it….starting right now.
