Human beings tend to scatter
their energies, all day long. They rarely pay attention to themselves---that
is, in a conscientious, elevated manner. They usually pay most of their
attention to how they look, how cool their possessions look or what other
people are thinking or saying about them. All of that is spawned from
the “ego zone”. There is nothing that benefits us from lurking there, other
than a swift kick when we’ve gone too far, and Life has presented us with a really good lesson---one that actually
made a dent!
Being vigilant with yourself
on a daily basis is to take note of how you are dealing with Life, how you are
dealing with people and circumstances, and how your thoughts and feelings are
affecting your system and your overall life experience. Once you have developed
an ongoing “inventory” of yourself, it will become not “second nature”, but first nature. You may wonder where you
have been all these years!
Monitoring ourselves, on all
levels of our being---mental, emotional, physical and spiritual---is a very
rewarding practice, in that we can “get in touch” with ourselves from the
superficial side to very deep, formerly hidden areas of our being. It can
actually be astonishing to us---which is really to the ego---when we face
ourselves head on and see facets which we could or would have never
acknowledged before. It can be quite a humbling experience, at first. But once
we are in the groove of it, determined to take ourselves to higher realms of
living and growing, we actually come to forgive and truly love ourselves. The
greatest reward of all is that we catapult ourselves to such high levels of
understanding and acceptance that we change;
and with that change comes a tremendous rise in consciousness, which equates
to a dramatically heightened frequency.
When I first came to “recognize”
more of who I thought I was, vis-a
–vis my actions toward others, as well as toward myself, I was somewhat
horrified, experiencing great difficulty in accepting those formerly deeply
hidden aspects of myself.
How wonderful it is to get
down deep, “in there”, and clean out the mess and cobwebs that have accumulated
within our psyches, sometimes over lifetimes!
One of my favorite sayings
is: The only way out is through. How
utterly true this is. We’ve got to take the medicine if we’re going to
feel---and be better.
Take the pledge: Free
yourself from the “little you”. Raise your frequency to optimal levels, and
with dedication to the biggest part of you. Maintain a high frequency for the
rest of your life.
