Focus is of
primary importance in raising your frequency. It is important in every
area of your life, every minute of every day of your life. If you are
not focused on your actions, your thoughts, your feelings, or on your
very being, then you are not focused on your life. When you are not
present, your life, in essence, slips away from you, even though,
physically, you’re still breathing, talking, walking and interacting
with others. Though you consciously go about your daily affairs, your
spirit suffers when your attention is scattered, diverted or directed
toward elements of lower frequencies. When your spirit suffers, the rest
of you suffers: Your fundamental core is that of pure spirit, and it is
your spirit that affects your entire being. It is the life of your
life.
Focus does not correlate with the ego. Ego is self-centered, selfish, proud, often petty and highly unfocused. It is unconscious and unaware. Ego comes from lower-frequency dimensions. This planet is replete with egocentricity; this is why there is so much suffering; this is why it is so difficult for the vast majority of human beings to raise their frequency. The situation stems from the fact that people are unwilling to release their hold on all things mundane, to which they desperately cling with zealous tenacity. They are not aware that their problem is with ego. They each think that everyone else has a problem, but that they do not. Interestingly, all egoic behavior is comprised of the same ingredients; that is why it is so easy to identify. Focusing on our actions, thoughts and feelings actually turns us away from ego-oriented behavior because it helps us to be aware of how utterly foolish, immature and sometimes hurtful we are when ego is at the helm of our behavior.

When you focus your attention on any area of your life, the attention spawns an intensification of that particular area in your life. It becomes your reality. If you focus on beauty, you will have beauty. If you pay constant and close attention to violence, discord and disruption---such as in movies, television and the newspaper---you subject your psyche to harshly disturbing elements of a very low frequency; these can cause you to experience frequent anxiety, depression, nightmares and aggressive behavior, without your even realizing that there is a connection between the low-frequency types of media output and the effects on your psyche. The more you make those elements a part of your life, the more conceivable it is for elements of like frequency to potentially be seduced into your life. On a regular basis, pay attention to what you focus on, and you will see how your reality mirrors it.
